Science Festival

Each year in October, the Grenoble Institute of Neuroscience takes part in the Science Festival, a three-week national cultural event where science welcomes you and takes up all the French public space. This event aims to discover, share and participate to help you improve your understanding about your body and its environment.

Since 2005, GIN’s members have been coming together for a few days to talk to you about the knowledge and progress made on brain research, and in particular the research conducted by the GIN. You can discover science through work groups, research tool handling, photographic exhibitions and visits of our institute. As we are close to young people and pupils, we organize visits for local schools, in order to raise awareness and interest among young people, from kindergarten to 12th Grade students. Each year, we offer a diversified program which groups art, science and experiments together at the Science village stands set up for all curious and enthusiastic people.

For the 2015 Edition which has “light” as its theme, GIN’s activities will take place on our premises. As we are in close contact with IRMage for the thirtieth anniversary of the creation of MRI, you may use microscopes, attend conferences and top events and talk with scientists, in order for you to observe neuroscience scientific methods.
