IRMaGe is an Unité Mixte de Service (joint research center) in the Institute of Neuroscience (GIN) and the Grenoble CHU (University Hospital Center).
The platform is affiliated with the Grenoble Alpes University, Inserm, CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) and the CHU. IRMaGe is part of the Grenoble node in the France Life Imaging (FLI) national infrastructure.
The IRMaGe platform has developed expertise in the field of NMR imaging, functional cerebral exploration (EEG, TMS, NIRS) and metabolomic (NMR, HRMAS) to support human research projects as well as research projects on small and large animals with clinical, cognitive or fundamental goals in neuroscience. Applications on other organs are regularly conducted.
IRMaGe applications cover a very broad range of activities:
-
Methodological developments
-
Transgenic mice phenotyping
-
Monitoring pathology progression
-
Assessment of the efficiency of new treatments
-
Cellular and molecular imaging
-
Research in cognitive science
-
Cerebral functional exploration
-
Assessment of the NMR compatibility of materials
-
High resolution study of tissue samples
-
Assessment of new implantable systems
