In France, a Master's degree is composed of 4 semesters, i.e. 2 years, called M1 and M2. The Master’s degree is only accessible with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
The specialized “Neuroscience” teaching is given in the Biology mention at the Grenoble Alpes University. During the first year (M1) of the Biology Master’s Degree, a neuroscience pre-specialization is offered as of the second semester, with 3 main teaching units:
Molecular bases of the normal and pathological memory (supervisor Pr Rémy Sadoul)
Functional anatomy of the central nervous system (supervisor Pr Alain Buisson)
Neurobiological bases of the behaviors (supervisor Sabrina Boulet)
Then, a choice must be made for the second year (M2) between M2 Biology, specialized in “Neurobiology and Neuroscience” and M2 Psychology, specialized in “Cognitive and Social Psychology”.
