Master's degree

In France, a Master's degree is composed of 4 semesters, i.e. 2 years, called M1 and M2. The Master’s degree is only accessible with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

The specialized “Neuroscience” teaching is given in the Biology mention at the Grenoble Alpes University. During the first year (M1) of the Biology Master’s Degree, a neuroscience pre-specialization is offered as of the second semester, with 3 main teaching units:

  • Molecular bases of the normal and pathological memory (supervisor Pr Rémy Sadoul)
  • Functional anatomy of the central nervous system (supervisor Pr Alain Buisson)
  • Neurobiological bases of the behaviors (supervisor Sabrina Boulet)

Then, a choice must be made for the second year (M2) between M2 Biology, specialized in “Neurobiology and Neuroscience” and M2 Psychology, specialized in “Cognitive and Social Psychology”.
