Licence's degree

In France, the Licence or Bachelor's degree is organized in 6 semesters, ie 3 years, named L1, L2 and L3. You must have a "Baccalaureat" or an equivalent degree in order to enroll in a Bachelor's degree.

At Grenoble Alpes University the first two years are held in the Department of Science and Technology Licenses (DLST) and the third year takes place in one of the university departments (such as the Biology and Chemistry department).

Neuroscience is taught from the first year in general physiology units and then more specifically from the L3 in an optional unit proposed in semester 6 ("Cellular neurobiology").
