This matlab code simulates the MRI signal from a model of MRI voxel in the context of dynamic contrast enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI). Various voxel geometries (microvessels, cells) can be considered as well as several MRI sequences (spin-echo, gradient-echo, etc.). The simulations account for a simplistic model of blood flow, the arterial input function, the permeability of the vascular wall, the water diffusion, and the diffusion of the contrast agent within the extravasular, extracellular space.
